The Spalding 72354 Portable Basketball Hoop with 48 Inch Polycarbonate Backboard features a three piece 3 Inch pole and the Slam Jam breakaway basketball rim. The polycarbonate backboard is five times stronger than typical acrylic, making it nearly impervious to cracking or shattering. The Pro Glide lift system allows you to easily adjust the basketball hoop from 7.5 - 10 feet in 6 Inch increments.

Get at least one friend to help you with assembly, or hire someone with socket set and wrenches.

After that, not too difficult to put together and the final product seems useable amd pretty solid. Time will tell...

The hoop is really easy to adjust. Its a simple push of a button and a slide of the handle. Looks great. Was a little complicated to put together, especially if you were by yourself. Also the hoop is not square with the base and the base leaked water right from the start. But some sand and a little tweaking of the pole would solve those issues. Good hoop to just shoot and mess around with.

Really nice basketball hoop, but it does not include assembly instruction in the box, and it is easy to mees up if one don't follow the instructions carefully. It was a disapoinment to open the box to start the assembly but not be able to continue because the there is not a booklet with instructions.
