Nice Product and Easy to Install

This is a pretty easy to use product. You just lay it out and start painting. I took about 1 to 1.5 hours from start to finish. The only comment I have it that it is only made of thin paper. You must make sure it is held down good when you lay out the pattern because one gust of wind and it may tear. Overall, I was very happy and so weren't the kids. One use is all you will get out of it!

Hard to use extended part to do three pointer. The thin paper wore out. Be sure to not let dry. We had and still do have paper stuck to the lines.

My friend and I used this product to paint a basketball court in the parking lot behind our house. It was difficult to use in the wind due to its light nature (it is made out of paper). A further problem arose when we painted the lines with a roller and the paper folded on itself causing the paint to o slightly outside the lines. It also makes dotted lines (as opposed to solid ones), unless you want to paint over the blank spots, which requires that you make your own stencil (the one they provide simply won't hold up to multiple paintings) and has a high probbility of messing up. Overall, however, it made a nice looking court with accurate dimensions.

Undisclosed Problems

I applied two coats of a quality black latex paint with the roller that was supplied with the kit. After the paint dried, it formed a film over the stencil. When I tried to lift the stencil, the paint started to peel off the concrete. I had to spend several hours razor cutting the stencil away from the paint. I recommend using fast-drying spray paint instead.

This is the worst product that I ever bought. I would have returned it, But it all ripped into pieces and i did not think i could return it.I would have been better off with apiece of chalk and a string. I am really disappointed with this product and i still have not painted my court.

Basketball Court Template lines it up

Cons:
Wears Out Quickly
Best Uses:
Blacktop, NON WINDY DAY
Describe Yourself:

The paper needs to have a bit more weight. The Template is easy to understand but very thin and tears easily - do not install if any wind present. Instructions could be a bit descriptive.
Good product but could be better.

get what you pay for
By Brad the Dad from Richmond, MO on 9/11/2007
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

This product was proper measurements, and fairly easy to set up. But the material is very thin making it difficult to keep lines straight. also the lines are not solid and it is not easy to go back and fill in the lines. also the 3 point line addition is impossible. All in all not worth the money. Buy the more expensive one, it would be worth it. The 3 point line is still not complete.
