Bought to prevent balls from rolling down hill behind hoop. Works well for that as well as returning balls. Of course it doesn't always work when you miss, but I guess thats part of the reason we practice. Definitely a practive aid since it comes way out into the play area under the hoop when setup for returning balls. Can be moved back out of the way quickly, but my kids are still small and the sand bags can be difficult for them to move themselves. I have some concerns that the sand bags will eventually wear out from being dragged around, but they seem to be holding up pretty well.

We love the Rolbak because even though we think we are perfect, we do miss some shots and rather than chasing the ball under the deck, it comes right back to us. Because it is on a pad by the house, I wish they had one that would work to protect from bounces to the sliding glass door!

Overall, I am very pleased with the price, and the functionality of the product. My only criticism is that the mesh bag that holds the plastic sandbag is starting to deteriorate.

This was for a friend's son who turned 9. He shoots baskets in his driveway daily and plays at school on a team. This product helps his skills and helps him to stay safe.
