virtually everything about this bike is a hit, from the price, to the smooth, realistic bike ride the resistance offers, plus it takes up about the least space of all these type bikes. i'd have your own tools as the ones they give are rudimentary, though i did use them. construction was not that hard, though it took about 3 hours to do a first rate job. the most hassle was pulling the resistance cable out to attach...i did it alone, but needed some excedrin after. i'd recommend 2 people. of some concern was a slight knocking in the resistance engine that puts resistance on the pedals. this only occurred for a brief few minutes upon operation, and has virtually completely disappeared after a week of use. but it is the one quality concern i'd suggest people keep an eye out for. i'm a runner, about 20 miles a week, and do a decent weight resistance workout. this bike is perfect for recovery runs, warmup prior to my weight workout, or maintenance conditioning on a day or two i can't get out to run my usual hour (3xs a week). it has 8 resistance settings, and for someone in my condition the first three are really not enough resistance to use except possibly during one of the programmable workouts. i personally max out on setting six, which gets me going a good 14mph max with very good resistance for a 25min+ workout...sometimes i'll go into resistance level 7, and it's nice to know there's an 8 after that. but if you are looking for some superduty heavy hill training simulation, this piece may not be for you. luckily, i wasn't. i'd say this was a good purchase.
We had to request new parts twice before we could begin to use it. Not easy to assemble.
